Looks like a new Aud. source has popped up for this show at LL. It seems to be improperly labeled here at IA as 7-12.
As far as I can tell this looks like someone discovered this somewhere and it's a much cleaner, direct from reel source, but I'm still downloading so can't confirm for sure.

The have a track available for streaming at LL (Wake Up Little Susie) and it sounded pretty good for a '70 aud. Apparently the source is a bit of a mystery.

The mislabeling thing sounds as if it might be related to the nature of the show which apparently started at midnight.

Thanks Elbow didn't see the stream. Yea, seems like the date thing is a bit hard to peg when you start at 12:00, but I think they are right on this one and it should be treated like a New Years show with the date recorded at the entrance time and not the exit time. At 30% now can't wait to listen.

The 7/11 and 7/12/70 shows had their dates reversed when they went into circulation.
The original recording is probably Marty Weinberg's; his master was said to be in much better quality than the pitiful copy that has circulated.
If the show's complete, it should be a revelation, for it's one of the best shows of the year.

It looks like it may well be Marty Weinburg's Master reel('s). Looks like a complete show to me but hard to tell, never seeing a set list for it. Giving it a listen in the morning I hope.

notes: These were midnite shows so the dates are confusing for historians as they line up for a concert on one day, and see the actual show on the next as far as official time goes. My research from reputable sources puts this as the show billed on the 11th, not the 12th. I re-ordered this source to the commonly accepted order of high time and cold rain and snow in set two. An image of the transferred order of the reel for set two is included, and it is different. All sorts of tape pauses and cut in parts smoothed tastefully.

The SBD Viola Lee you had as filler was almost certainly from 4-12-70.

Part of the 4-12-70 SBD used to circulate as "7-10-70" back in the old tape days; it was also mislabeled "4-9-70", where it was mistakenly reviewed in the first Taping Compendium.

Thanks for the pic - that does look just like Latvala's handwriting.
I love the note: "MIDNIGHT TO DAWN." Those were the days!
